For those who subscribe to the American Woodturner you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Picture a box, inside a box, with rings that spin and line up to let the key pins slide out. Your able to put a message inside, or better yet, for the ultimate gift, a Cryptex with a gift certificate inside. I've pondered the idea in the past after seeing the movie, but that was about it. Then last issue of the AW came and there is was. I had to have one. It looks easier in the magazine, lol. Honestly it wasn't the skill level on this one, it was consumption of time. I logged about 12 hrs on it. If you take it on, you will spend a lot of time taking measurements, changing drill bits, switching jaws (for us 1 chuckers), and taking more measurements. All in all a good experience, and I will be making more in the future. Now do I want to post a pic, or should I wait till the meeting...........
